It is my pleasure to provide a letter of support regarding Ted Maish’s candidacy for the Arizona State Senate from District 20.
I have had the privilege of working with Ted and benefiting from his leadership skills and organizational acumen. His active engagement with the national Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) and Arizona ACTE contributed to the progress and change realized by the organizations.
Under Ted’s leadership, Arizona ACTE reached out and established productive collaborative relationships with key external stakeholders for the profession. He was been instrumental in bringing related associations and business and industry partners into a dialogue on issues facing the career and technical education profession.
Ted’s interpersonal skills, guidance and mentorship helped to guide the Association as it embarked on challenging traditional assumptions, creating innovative programs and setting new directions. As a membership driven organization, creating consensus and persuading individuals to look beyond their self-interest is a challenging task, but one that Ted admirably performs.
I know Ted will bring his never-ending energy, passion and vision to any endeavor he undertakes. He is a highly respected and well-regarded individual within the profession and looked to by others across the country for input and guidance. The citizens of Arizona District 20 could find no better qualified candidate to represent their interests in the State Senate.
